Dr. Hammett grew up near Columbia, South Carolina, but fell in love with Greenville while attending Furman University. After earning a B.A. in Biology, she continued her studies at the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2013. Her education emphasized both Large and Small Animal Medicine, and she was thrilled to return to the Upstate and join the Cleveland Park team after graduation. Dr. Hammett’s special interests include internal medicine and, of course, cuddling new puppies.
Since joining our team, Dr. Hammett has married the love of her life, Jake. Together, they enjoy renovating and working on DIY projects, having spent many hours creating a beautiful home. They love to hike and run when time allows and recently moved to the country to provide more space for their pets and their growing family. In addition to their son Asher and Levi, they recently welcomed twin sons, Silas and Lucas.
Dr. Hammett is known for her studious nature, focus, and commitment to providing the highest quality of care. As an excellent diagnostician, she is thorough in her work and always strives to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients.
